It is funny to think about all the Maud Machine members constantly squawking about 'small Town Vienna'. What about that picture is small Town? What about that picture would ever win an award for commercial development? Vienna's commercial corridor has developed and grown with no oversight or planning - and it shows. Now that much of Maple Avenue is in the dumps (pictures don't lie), why not get out in front of the development process and build pedestrian friendly multi-use buildings with smart and attractive design? Can't we just put a moratorium on 1-story new banks, new gas stations and new nail salons?
We will NEVER get there as long as Maud Robinson has a say in any of this process. Most people have no idea what goes on in Vienna Town government or at Town Council meetings, but they would be sad if they saw and understood the spectacle. Vienna residents need to start to realize how much more valuable, usable, nicer, pedestrian friendly and attractive Vienna would be if Maud Robinson was politically gone. And to the skeptics and cranks out there, that doesn't mean 10-story buildings either.

Can't we all just Get Along? YES, I agree - We DO need change, BUT as I have said and said and said again -
More flies with Honey than with Vinegar...
It's tough - It's long and it's hard, but let's not put ourselves so far on one side that we totally lose the respect of the other....
PLEASE - STOP THE NAME CALLING! If we can just be a bit (small bit) calmer -we can garner so mauch more strength - I can not and will not be able to endorse this site if the feuding continues -
That truly would be a loss for us all...Please help - D

Pointing out the exact politics of Maud Robinson is not 'name calling'. Robinson is an extremist on most every issue. If you refuse to spell out 'who' practices 'what' politics, that is your choice. We choose differently. That said, we do hope you continue to contribute.
