Boss Maud and the Robinson Machine

We have seen a continuing post-Election banter back and forth. It goes something like this:

"Go away now! The incumbents won big, that means we are right!"

And the response by the other side:

"Vienna needs to get beyond just sitting still. Vienna needs to address today's world!"

The reality? Vienna's election revealed little. It did not make a difference who the incumbents were or who the challengers were. You could have had all "no name" incumbents and they would have won. You could have had all "no name" challengers and they would have lost.

What do the results really reveal? Boss Maud Robinson controls 800-1200 votes who will do anything she tells them to do. Most of these folks have known Maud for literally 30-50 years. These voters are not focused on issues or philosophies or web sites. They simply vote as they are told. To achieve that level of political machinery is quite an achievement. The 2006 Elections revealed only that Maud Robinson's machine is well oiled and lubed to precision.

The leaders in the Maud machine, however, do worry about the content of this site. Too much truth will eventually cause trouble for even the most skilled politicians.
