Another Bank Robbery; 7th Holdup in Last 12 months!

BB&T on the corner of East and Maple was robbed yesterday - for the 2nd time this year! Hey Jane, any chance you might help our Police to fight this problem? Prior reporting on Vienna bank robberies.

We bet if someone robbed the rock candy display at the Freeman-Hyde Store, the garden club and Mother Maud would station Police there. Banks are not high enough up the food chain for concern among the over 70 set who like to pretend they live in Civil War times?

The priorities in this Town are borderline looney tunes!

Maybe if a mother and her child get killed in an armed robbery, Maud and Jane will pay attention.

In 1933 when asked why he robbed banks, "Slick Willie" Sutton simply replied, "Because that's where the money is."

Today, if asked why he robs in Vienna, he would say "Because that's where the banks are."

Jane's response to bank robberies is to build the Town Green with the money that would fund the expansion of the Police Department. Now she moves the Police department to the basement of the Town Hall. Typical Garden Club mentality.
