Come on, candidates! Don't be shy. We all promise to be civil.

I'm not planning to run for Vienna Town Council, but I thought I might get the ball rolling with this question:

What does each current Town Council member, and each person planning to run, plan to do to influence the direction of Tysons Corner development?
Are you concerned about the effect that this development has on Vienna?
Do the positives of this development outweigh the negative effects on Vienna?
In your opinion, do the Fairfax County Supervisors care about the effects of Tysons development on Vienna? If you don't believe they care, are you willing to stand up to them to voice your opinion?

Thank you.

Quiet Riot, I agree with you. However we need a better relationship with the Fairfax Board of Supervisors before they will listen.

Maud should state her position first. She should also explain how she will mend the fences she and Laurie burned with the Fairfax Board. Maud and Laurie destroyed our great relationship with the present board of supervisors. They were both inflexible during the hearings for the Vienna Metro Stop. If they had been more reasonable, we may have gotten a more favorable solution. They together convinced the Fairfax Board that the Vienna Town Government would not listen to reason. Let both of them patch up the riff they caused. Maybe then the Fairfax Board would listen to our concerns with Tyson Corner. Maud’s answer to every in negotiation is just say, NO.
