Green Hedges School: Not Good Neighbors

Green Hedges School is back with more development plans. This was sent to Charles Brewer:

Charles,

This is to confirm that Green Hedges will host an evening with our neighbors on Wednesday, January 10 at 7:00 p.m. We will meet at the School in Kilmer Auditorium. This evening is an opportunity to discuss Green Hedges' new building plans, which have been revised in response to comments the School heard from the community. As always, the response of the School' s neighbors is an essential piece in this effort.

Would you be able to distribute this invitation electronically to the neighbors? Green Hedges was not planning on sending anything by mail at this point.

Please let me know how I can be of help.

Best,
Fred

They weren't planning to send "invitations"? How are people supposed to find out, through osmosis? Will they be serving tea and crumpets while they try to snow the neighborhood?

How the hell were they expecting the "neighbors" to be notified? He states that their input is "essential", but wasn't going to notify them? Or maybe by passing the responsibility on to someone else, that's the "out". He also assumes that everyone has an e-mail address registered with Charles Brewer.
Sounds fishy to me.

Fred - how hard would it be for you to walk the neighborhood and put a flyer on everyone's door?! The Madison HS Band seems to be able to do this - is it too beneath Green Hedges?!

Green Hedges now has snappy new bumper stickers that show the "prestige" of going to such an exclusive school, but they can't hand out flyers to the lowly neighbors who have to endure all the mommy/nanny's in mini vans? How arrogant! And by all means thanks for caring about your neighbors....or do they even live in Vienna? It's always ok if it is in someone else's back yard isn't it? What is TC getting from this?

Did anybody know that the President of the Malcolm Windover heights Civic Assoc is on the board of trustees of the Green Hedges School? How convenient, think the school will get their planned expansion in the neighborhood?
