Green Hedges School Secret Expansion Meeting Tonight. Did Not Know? That's How They Planned It!

Fred Williams, head master at Richie Rich school Green Hedges School in Vienna, along with neighborhood gadfly Chuck Brewer, have organized a secret meeting tonight at Green Hedges School to push for the school's expansion. You didn't hear about it? Well, that's the idea.

As I see it, there's not enough space in that cramped little nooky neighborhood to allow a practical expansion of that school. That said, given its proximity to the 123 commercial corridor, it seems reasonable to me to get rid of the historic district nonsense, open up some of the access throughways, and let the school grow. Trying to preserve the fake quaint historic district with its carriage trails right next to prime commercial zoning while expanding the school would just be more poor planning by the Town.

Hey Green Hedges... why don't you move into the Korean? church facility at the east end of Park Street? It's a much better location away from 123 traffic and you won't have to bury buildings underground. Plus, you'll be right near Bukontville which is fast becoming the only real district in Town.

I read in the local paper that the Town donates our tax dollars each year to local non-profit organizations. Does anybody know who the garden club folks are giving our money to? It damn well better not be any of their Historic Vienna Inc. garden club pals! Does the Town publish this information anywhere?
