The Maud Robinson Historic Scam Marches On

I particularly like the fact that when you wanted to do something to your "home" back when the so called historic district was first spawned, all you had to do was just tell them you wanted to add a fence here or there... all you needed to do was present your plans on a piece of paper written in pencil...Now consider these requirements:

- This application form, filled out with all details
- 6 sets of dimensioned plans, showing the location of existing and proposed buildings, structures, fences, or signs, with setbacks, any landscaping or grading changes
- Elevation drawings of the improvement(s) with dimensions
- Recent photographs of the location of the proposed improvement(s)
- Actual samples of all exterior materials used (i.e. siding, roof material, stone) and/or color rendering

What the hell? Are you telling me that someone like C. Anderson, who lives in the district (no conflict of interest there, huh?) can look at these items submitted (which will cost a small fortune to present) and tell you with a straight face that he knows better than you what you should be able to do in your own property with your own money?

And that besides the fact the he didn't have to go before the very board he now sits on to get his home added to this district like he just won the lottery?

And according to Seeman's words last week, she said the whole town has the right and responsibility to be able to sit on this board and pass judgment on the homeowners in the "district" without regards to training, or education, or bias... even though she knew that adding Anderson would be tantamount to adding the Chancellor of Germany, Adolf Hitler to head the NAACP or the American Jewish League!

Hey, Adolf Anderson, oops, sorry about that, but you DO look a bit like Hitler in your Boy scout uniform, which you like to parade in Council whenever you can. You and your wife are quickly becoming some of the most despised people in Vienna. But what the hell, you are one of Maud’s "Do-it" boys, just like Howie!

And those of you who don't live in the hysteric district, why don't you petition Maud to have the whole town of Vienna made into one giant historic district? That way, you all can have the experience of having your legal rights stripped from you, and have racial bigots sit and decide what's best for your home.

Don't think this is too funny? Chuckie Adolph Anderson, was able to add his home, even though his home isn't historic or even old. It was recently built just a few years back. No historicity there, folks. In fact, all the real historic homes in this town have been torn down or demolished under the approval of Maud!

The Vienna historic board has nothing to do with historic preservation and everything to do with racists and bigots thinking they know better than you what you can do with your property.

If you are so inclined to disagree, I challenge all of you to go before the TOV and petition to have your home added to the historic district.

Hell, Maud, why isn't your home in the district? You coward! And don't give me the excuse of the "boundaries"... we all know that the boundaries have changed in the past without any regards to real historicity, preservation, or guidelines.

I asked to have my home included in the district, but Maud argued against it. So I won't cross her. She's has supported me in the past and I have to stick with her even though she could be bigot. I know she pulls the strings to keep me in my place or put me out, so why rock the boat. I cannot afford to stand up and take a stand for what is right for myself or what is right for Vienna. I tried that when I ran against Jane and I got my ass whooped.

If anyone comes out to run against me they have to contend with Maud because she’s my savior. At least I get to keep my seat and that's all that counts

So please let me win just another two years this time around. I promise to keep my mouth shut and say nothing that will hurt Maud's legacy. I promise I will say nothing to hurt Cole's money making interests in the Town. I promise I will say nothing that will expose Bukont and Doug d' Alexander's abuses and their "special arrangements with Hembree." I promise, most of all, never, ever to run against Jane because I know that really upset Maud.

Phony is and phony does. Chucky doesn't mind imposing his views on others. He just doesn't like others to impose their views on him. Regarding forms, it shouldn't be surprising that a bureaucrat like Director Greg Hembree likes forms requiring far more that the ordinance requires, thus exulting form over substance. Director Hembree is a horse"s putute and a brownie of the first order.
