If You'll Lie About the Little Stuff, You'll Lie About the Big Stuff
Last night's Town Council meeting revealed yet another side to the Mayor of Vienna as she debates this letter. This video serves as a great example of how not to lie:

YOU TUBE RULES!
Do ya think Vienna likes having their mugs up online on you-tube?
Keep on acting like a baby, Jane, and you keep ending up on You Tube, the internet Boob Tube...

If you look real close, you can see the strings that Maud uses to control her puppet Jane. You have to look really close. At one moment, Maud pulls too hard, and Jane about falls out of her chair to her right towards Maud....Someone needs to cut those strings before Jane gets permanent damage.

Another fine example of Jane trying to establish plausible denial...

The attempt to establish plausible deniability didn't work. While it might make some Vienna residents cringe to say this, tell us how Jane Seeman is not flat out lying in that video? Why lie over something so trivial? Or is it not so trivial because more is going on than we know?

Isn't it possible the mayor receives a number of letters every day, and when she received your request for a copy of this particular letter she made an assumption that it was only directed to her? Maybe this is a stretch but I'm willing to give our mayor the benefit of the doubt on this. As you say, why lie about something so trivial? She may be guilty of making a poor assumption. I’d like to think she isn’t going out of her way to lie about something which you were able to acquire on your own.

The letter was from one of the most influential Vienna citizens of the last 30 years. He has been a close friend of Maud's for decades. The motivation for hiding the letter? The letter struck right at the recently passed Maple Avenue redevelopment plan passed by Council. For the criticism to come from this man was no small matter for Seeman. Additionally, Seeman's letter had all the CC's in plain view. To make the assumption it was only for her doesn't pass the smell test. You think the Council did not discuss the letter the moment they all received it? Give us a break. Once it was found out that the CC's were there the Town rolled over and provided a copy. Now, that you know more it will be interesting to see if you continue to make excuses for a Mayor caught in the act of lying.

I'm not making excuses for anyone. I just feel you always assume the worst in people whereas I don't. You make assumptions too much. Give me a break!
