The Maud Spin at Wikipedia.com
From Vienna's entry on Wikipedia.com:
"The town's recent utility undergrounding project along the main road, Maple Avenue, is considered a success as evidenced by the beautiful, utility-free skies above Maple Avenue. The project's high costs and disruption to traffic were easily outweighed by the completion of the project and the result: removal of all of the unsightly electrical utility poles and their wiring along Maple Avenue."
Gee, we did not know Maud was doing her own PR! Clearly, this writing is against the basic tenets of Wikipedia:

Comments
The wikepedia entry did not describe the beauty of the W&OD trail from Ayr Hill to the town line along Dominion Rd.

The writer of the Wikipedia blurb must have put his hand over an eye and only looked down one side of Maple Avenue. Last I checked there are still HUGE green poles and power lines on one side of the road.
Wasn't the "official" Town stance on the poles that you don't notice green telephone poles as opposed to brown ones?
That is one of the best manipulations of "spin" I have ever seen by the Maud Machine.

It appears that Wikipedia's self-correcting nature...has worked. That silly except is now only visible in the edit history. Someone needs to figure out who wrote that to begin with. Any Wiki experts here?

Maybe they are banking on the fact that you can't look up while driving, because you'll get in an accident.

It clearly came from someone that has access to a Ffx Cty internet port, as evidenced by the ARIN.net lookup:

Now this is funny. Caught red handed. Nice detective work!

Very Nice tbrduc! I'm sure you just shocked them by doing that since none of them think we have any edukation or sense at all! Again well done!

When you read that passage close, it is literally the same kind of stuff they say in North Korea. It's got that same cult-like feel to it. Perhaps most bizarre is the writer of that passage thinks we are all not very bright, while clearly revealing that their IQ doesn't go up too high. When you take the not so bright and mix in arrogance, you get a potent stew.

I think your lemmings need a statue to bow down to...Maud is yours in the planning stage yet?

I am outraged! Although I must admit I am not sure if I am more furious at the fact that they are blatantly lying, or that they think we are that stupid that if they tell us the lines are not there-they must not be there. Yes they are arrogant and lying but WE elect them repeatedly. WAKE UP VOTERS and START CARING!

Re: "utility-free skies"
Man, can they shovel this BS, and they think we are all that STUPID to believe all their lies.
VIENNA wake up and get out and vote.
