Mayor Jane Seeman Hides From the Camera; Is This Normal Behavior for a Public Official?

The Vienna-Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce held their VERY PUBLIC Fourteenth Annual Casino Night & Taste of the Town Saturday night at the Westwood Country Club. Hundreds attended. All the local politicians were there schmoozing along with the likes of Congressman Tom Davis. Photographers were all around. Everyone was enjoying themselves.
That said, this is Vienna and things tend to get weird. In between the Mayor of Vienna hiding from the camera and Laine Hyde's companion going after a photographer, you start to wonder about the mental makeup of some of the people in charge of Vienna.

A truly great time was had by everyone there. There were plenty of Vienna citizens, local politicians, as well as state and federal politicians, scores of local business owners, and several members of the press, and several professional photographers. Why would the Mayor of the 4th best place to live be trying to hide her face from publicity? In any other town, large or small, have you ever witnessed a politician NOT wanting to have their picture taken? You have to wonder why? You can't give her an excuse as to whether she wanted her picture taken on any chance that it may end up on this site as a reason, because, if she would not have tried to hide her face, there would have been NO reason to post the picture here! Congressman Davis and Jeanmarie Devolities Davis were not camera shy, and neither were the other Council persons who attended. What is Mayor Seeman hiding from, then? Did she not want to be seen in the same picture with Bukont? Why? There's the story. If a politician can't afford to be seen with a local business person, you have to wonder why?

You gotta hand it to Bukont... no matter how much he hates it, he's playing the game!

Don't forget the nice young lady in the middle of the two. That would be Seeman's daughter. That is the same daughter who has no problem writing letters threatening local business people for going her against her mother's crooked politics. She is a real sweetie. This site might have a lot on it, but it doesn't touch the tip of the iceberg on these people's actions. Maybe she will put her husband on the case again?

The problem with these people? They want the public power, the adulation, etc., but they don't want the public scrutiny. They want to run Vienna government like a Garden Club and maintain anonymity. EVERYONE knows it is only a matter of time until one of these goofs "snaps" and has a public meltdown. That moment will mark the end of the Robinson/Seeman era of redneckish bully style politics. There are too many talented and smart people in Vienna to put up with this too much longer.

Seeman's daughter also has no problem trying to bully moms into leaving the annual Public Works Day for little children. And doing so with her mom's tacit approval.

Did you ever notice that only people with something to hide -- like criminals doing the perp walk -- hide behind their hands? Hmm...

You folks at HV are nuts! This is just a simple game of Texas Peek-a-boo. It is sweeping Las Vegas by storm. Duh.
Just because you took a picture of a drunk Hawaiian playing Texas Peek-a-boo doesn't mean that it is the TOV Mayor. Where is the video? Surely you have it.
Development good. Development bad.

We, the members* of Vienna Presbyterian Church Women's Circle, hereby notify the Vienna Town Council that we are deeply affected... embarrassed and disgusted... by Mayor Seeman's public display of drinking, gambling, and games of peekaboo with favored developer Steve Bukont. Spinster Seeman must be censured and prohibited from further sullying the Office of Mayor in our proud Town of Vienna.
