Our site is read daily by every Vienna Council Member (like Jane Seeman and Maud Robinson), Town Board Member and Town employee, but none will ever admit it!
This site was originally started to document the inconsistencies within the Windover Heights Historic District. A quick synopsis of Vienna, Virginia "historic" politics.

More money for pet projects (plastic bins) means even less money for the 8.7M worth of sidewalks that we need. Once again, safety is trumped by silliness.

The only reason Cole is on Council is because Maud put her there. She adds nothing to Vienna.

The bungy cords are still there..why?

How can I trust the "journalistic integrity" of Brian Trompeter and the Sun Gazette when they refuse to tell the truth about what is going on in Vienna?
The Sun Gazette's publishers say that they are "In the Community, With the Community, For the Community." If they mean it, then please, please, please help the community, and expose the Vienna Town Council's mismanagement and corruption.

How much you wanna bet she has some company that sells these things? It's not that I am a suspicious person, it's just that I don't think Cole is a trustworthy person.

I'm impressed that one resident convinced Cole to lobby the Town Council to rewrite a recycling policy that has been in place for years with her lawyerly supporting financial and operational rationale of... "I used one!". Now there's some solid public policy decision making for you.

Shouldn't she be wearing safety goggles to protect herself from the killer bungees?

IF they were any good at being journalists, THEY would be writing better articles with some integrity and substance. We won't ever see anything worthwhile in print simply because if they tried to, they would be fired.

The new public works director, Holly Chu, can't be too swift if she is advocating for her employees to work daily with bungee cords.
Posted by: Town Green | March 25, 2007 01:45 PM
Town Green, I believe under OSHA rules the town employees working with bungee cords will be required to wear hard hats and goggles.

Oh Shush: Close an eye for the day and then tell us how you liked it... and being shunned by others. Cole posing with bungee cords on trash recepticles is a sad joke.

Do we get to pay for the protective eye gear too? How about the workman's comp? Really Laurie why the bungy cords? Fairfax does not have them.

I think the caption under Laurie Cole ought to read "hi I'm wasting your money"
Posted by: too much | March 26, 2007 09:09 PM
Another Caption Option:
"This is what I use to collect and hold all the money that Steve Bukont has passed my way."

Thanks for focusing on the BS issues!!!!

I don't think this post signed 'gang rape' satisfies the HV.com site rules.

Town Green has an excellent point about the single person (herself?) wanting these bins whereas a majority of citizens are asking for sidewalks with no results.
