Why are there only two links?

Why am I not surprised that the incumbents didn't even bother to put up Web sites?

I guess Maud, George, and Dan think we're too dumb to vote on the issues -- either that, or they're afraid that if we have access to information 24/7, we might start asking the hard questions.

Not having websites in year 2007 is ridiculous. Just shows the pomposity (and probably ignorance) of our current TC.

IT'S TIME TO VOTE THE GARDEN CLUB MEMBERS OUT AND THAT INCLUDES GEORGE (ME TOO) LOVELACE.

I certainly think it's time for a change in town leadership, but I don't know if Deb Brehony is the best candidate for that change. Due to her relationship with J.P. Brehony Homes (she is a partner with her husband), which has built dozens of custom homes in the town. We need fresh leadership in those seats, not someone on the council looking to increase their bank account. Who does she think she is, Steve Bukont?

"Vienna Citizen" your logic that Brehony's political run equals an increased bank account for her is moronic. Can you map out how she will execute your "fear"? Why don't you focus on Laurie Cole who clearly is using her current seat to make money? Better yet, why are you not focussed on our corrupt Mayor?

I was merely asking do we want someone on the council, in a decision making capacity that does a fair amount of business in the town. I apologize for suggesting that she is out to solely fatten her wallet, she may really care about this town and us citizens. But she also has a financial interest in the town that many of us do not have and electing her to the council may not be the best idea for the town. That's all.

As far as Laurie Cole, she's not running for town council, so there is no need to cite her corruption. As far as Mayor Seeman, the citizens spoke last year and she was re-elected, so we are stuck with her for the remainder of her term. Hopefully, next time we will have a better candidate to run against her, so we won't have to deal with her corrupt ways.

it seems that conflict of interest runs rampant here. shouldn't there be some guidelines concerning council members and architectural review board members approving their own development projects?

Vienna Citizen:

I'm sorry but why can't we keep on Laurie Cole?! Only if she is campaigning? The fact that she sits on town council is embarrassing. And, I won't harp on her PJs though that makes me smile.

Hey, just a word of caution: don't be taken in by "Phoney Brehony" as we like to call her in the Republican Women's Club.

"...don't be taken in by "Phoney Brehony"..."

I don't know about phony, but I do feel that when a developer with current interests in a town, sits on a governing board (TC) of that town, that's a conflict of interest and is akin to letting a fox guard a hen house.

>>when a developer with current interests in a town, sits on a governing board (TC) of that town, that's a conflict of interest

Agreed. This could be her downfall. I'm torn between trusting her and keeping her out.

Concerned about the current Council, concerned about developer connections? Make Your Vote Count by voting for one, vote for Susan Stich. Everyone on the council is part of the problem, not the solution. So make you vote count by skipping them, vote for one Susan Stich.

Like I said before, I plan on voting for Susan Stich and only for Susan Stich.

Make your vote count!

Deborah Brehoney lives on Park St. in Vienna. Deborah Brehoney is a teardown/builder and not a developer. Vienna is not the only place in Virginia where she can operate. There is the County and Mclean to name a few. In other words, DB does not need Vienna but she is a Vienna resident who wishes to serve her community and because of her building experience she should be an asset to the town government.
