Never Lose Faith!
After the election Maud was quoted saying:
"My husband [the late Mayor Charles Robinson Jr.] always said, 'Never, never lose faith in the people,' that their innate good sense and judgment would determine the outcome of the election. I think this trust was validated today."
Did Charlie also say to stack the polling place with your poliitcal cronies as insurance for the outcome? Don't worry Mother Maud we will get every last table scrap of documentation from the State Election authorities and post it for easy review. We suspect by comparison Maud won't be posting the data on the Town of Vienna web site.

No wonder she doesn't want term limits!

That their innate good sense and judgment would determine the outcome of the election - Mother Maud
Maud truly does think that Brehony and/or Stich supporters have innate bad sense and poor judgement. Isn't Maud always so awesome in giving everyone the not-so-subtle middle finger while stroking the egos of her sheep. I guess I'm just a William and Mary educated buffoon. Too bad I didn't graduate from Wellesley - my innate judgement would be much better.
Today, another preschool mom and I were talking about the Washington Post article. Her reponse to me was with all the educated and successful people around here, we get these people running the show in Vienna. Kinda sad, really.

Had lunch with a friend today. She told me that the poll worker at her polling machine (a woman) stood very close to her, as if to see how she was voting. My friend stood there waiting to vote until the woman backed off.
There have to be other folks with election day stories.
If you can't or won't make an official report, how about posting them here?

She has a lot of nerve. She was telling all sorts of lies about Brehony and Stich during her campaign and at the polls. I HEARD IT MYSELF. She should be ashamed of herself, and I am certainly ashamed that she represents this town.

Neither I, nor my wife had any problem voting whatsoever and we voted at separate times. We're not known supporters of any candidate, and this is the third town election that we've participated in, without ever having a problem. Just for the record, it's not happening to everyone.
That said, as a voter who is concerned about fraud (esp. since 2000), I would never allow anyone near the machine while I was voting. I can't imagine why this would have been tolerated until so late in the day.

Since it appears that both Rhoda Stevens and Maud Robinson went to school together, she will probably do anything Maud asks her to do, even if it is illegal. But, I guess, that is what Vienna #4 town has grown to accept as fair, win at all costs, and damned be to anyone who stands in the way of Maud's power seat.
Nice way to run a town, Puppet Seeman. If it weren't for your blind acceptance of Maud, you might feel ashamed for participating in this behavior.
As you both grow older, you must now hide your face rather than stand tall, like an honest politician should do. I almost feel sorry for you, save for the fact that it is painfully obvious that both Maud and Seeman's motives are spirited by hate, not just ambition, and that is where honest people draw the line.
