Regina Jordan: almost 23 years at the helm. Hmmm ....

Regina:
When will you "elaborate" for the Town of Vienna citizens? You owe us that as the Chief Election Official. You represent ME as much as you represent Maud Robinson.
From the Washington Post:
Voters weren't the only ones unhappy about Tuesday. Regina Jordan, the town's chief election official, said supporters of Brehony and Stich seemed to be trying to start a confrontation.
"I felt harassed," said Jordan, an election official for more than 20 years. "One of them made a veiled threat to me." She wouldn't elaborate.
I guess you feel harrassed when someone doesn't support your voter fraud. Stinks when people stand up to your sham, eh?
Maybe, it was the Camera Stalker that has been harrassing the hell out of the Freeman Store employees.

Maud did win the last election, but at what cost? Did she cheat? Was she involved in a campaign or conspiracy to tamper with the voting? Was she the one that told Rhoda Stevens to do what she (Rhoda) told the TOV that was was supposed to do? Who allowed Rhoda Stevens to stay there all day when she was supposed to leave at 11:30AM? Why is the mayor, Polychrones, and Cole, out campaigning against the two challengers when this is viewed in other races as being highly irregular (there is a story there)?
Where are the investigators? What is the reason the State is remaining quietover this?

Jean Marie Devolites wants this to disappear. She's worried about her political future and she'll never do anything to cross Mother Maud.

I believe Jeanne Marie Devolites Davis holds herself to a high standard. I believe she seeks justice and would like this to be investigated. Remember tampering with an election is a Felony. We need to have the Town of Vienna hold themselves to a high standard. If the Town Clerk has done wrong, she needs to answer truthfully in a court. If any one else told an election worker to do wrong, than that person needs to be charged. The Town of Vienna needs to be the honest one and admit to the mistake and take the heat. I am extremely pleased that Jeanne Marie tried very hard to do what was right the day of the election.

Agree with your assessment that the Town of Vienna needs to be honest. However, not so sure the Town of Vienna believes any of their actions are "mistakes".

Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina, Regina sounds like the bookkeeper that never takes a vacation.

I believe Jeanne Marie Devolites Davis holds herself to a high standard.
I don't know why but this makes me chuckle when I've heard all the stuff about her over the years.
Anyhow, I digress. Jean Marie is worried that Mother Maud holds the power to her re-election. I don't necessarily believe this since the last election proved Maud has only 1400 people under her control.
That Chap sure is a nice guy, though. He seems like the real deal unless someone can tell me otherwise.

Jeanne Marie Devolites Davis needs to [...] find out what happened with the TOV election!
Posted by: Bubbles | May 26, 2007 06:55 PM
It won't ever happen. Virginia, wrong or right, does not like to air its dirty laundry, so unless a lawsuit is filed, nothing will get investigated.
Justice may be blind, but in Virginia, it's also very lazy and slow to move, if not damned near impossible. Why do you think crooked politicians get away with what they get away with for so many years: the good 'ol boy system has worked fine for centuries, Why change a good thing?
Right, Jane?
