Would Maud Let this Happen Next to Her House?

A resident of DeSale Street sent some pictures in. People will have different views as to what they mean, but it is safe to say Maud would not let this take place in front of her house:

Freedom to congregate. Freedom to work. God Bless America!

We live fairly close to the 7/11 & Citgo. Our almost daily interactions with the day laborers have been nothing but positive. Courteous and respectful all around.

Maud would never let them congregate at the 7-11 across the street from her home. I agree with that 100%.

Do I have a problem with them congregating somewhere in order to find jobs? Not really.

If any are illegally here with arrest records for armed robbery, rape, gangs, etc., I got a beef with those people standing there.

They have not yet gotten the word that they are to enjoy the Town Green with WIFI for pastime. They have the good fortune to be able to walk or bike on the WOD. Note that there are undesignated "reserved parking" signs which are probably spaces for day laborers.
