Jane, Maud and Beulah Road

Doesn't just the thought of the Beulah Road project bring anger? This snail-paced disaster sits squarely with the two old ladies running Vienna. We are sure when it is done they will trot out and cut a ribbon proclaiming all is well. Pathetic and sad.

It is more than an annoyance--it is a safety issue. Last Friday there was a collision at Beulah and Church. As apparently happened in this case, many drivers coming down Beulah are distracted by the construction, causing them to run a red light at Church.

One day i was shocked to see a car coming toward me, driving UP Beulah! I stopped and motioned to her that she was going the wrong way but rather than pull off onto the side street, she just moved over to let me through, then continued on her merry way, going the wrong way ON A ONE WAY STREET THAT IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. what kind of idiots are we dealing with here????

Was she one of Maud's 100 year old supporters? I see the darndest driving during my travels on a typical weekday.
