A Government Crooked Down to the Smallest Things

From the minutes of Vienna's Commercial Architectural Review Board comes this:
Ms. [Laine] Hyde stated that the color of the sign is fine but thought that the arrows shown on the proposal for the replacement tenant panel did not need to be added. It may give it a jumbled look. Chairwoman Damon stated her agreement with Ms. Hyde’s comments. Mr. Layer thought that the arrows served to emphasize the words “music” on the sign. Additional discussion followed.
So what do you think was really said? These are the edited meeting transcripts designed to make Maud's flunkies look competent. Could you imagine going before a governmental body and hearing some goof say that your professionally designed sign was "jumbled"? Especially since there is nothing in Vienna's Code that refers to design specifics, colors, or "jumbled" anything?

Someone should sue the town for their idiotic signage restrictions. They are arbitrary, capricious, and unreasonable. any lawyers out there?

There is a Town resident who happens to be an attorney on this Board. Roy Baldwin is legal slime devoid of ethics.

BRILLIANT LAINE!!!!
Is it me or are these people making it more difficult for businesses to function in Vienna? I know Mr. Layer has an understanding of retail, but do these other clowns?
Why can't they go away?? Vienna would be so much better for it!!
