What does Vienna have? An empty Town Green.

Maybe someone from Town Council could go to this meeting and find out the ins and outs of revitalization. The Town of Vienna is losing more and more businesses and our business area looks like it could use some help. Then someone from town could contact Falls Church and find out how they are going to revitalize their town.

The Town had a plan. Maud said "no". Now we have an empty That's Amore. And empty old bank lot. And empty gas station lot. A vacated carpet store. Did I note an empty Town Green too? That's the tip of the iceberg. Many businesses in Vienna are clearly fly by night, unstable ventures. Our commercial sector is a disaster. Did anyone expect a Maud who has railed against "developers" to win angry have not votes for decades to all of a sudden get this?

It is kinda of sad when you notice just how much is vacant in town. I hardly do any "shopping" here (OK, none). I do "light" shopping at Magruders, Rexall and occasionally the dry cleaner. I cannot buy any of my family's clothes/shoes or household items. Nearly all gifts for a wedding or shower are bought elsewhere.
But, I can buy lots and lots of beer, wine and spirits at almost a dozen stores in town. Any surprise there? If you live in Vienna, you gotta be loaded.
