Shirley Damon: The Corrupt Gift that Keeps Giving
From the Town Commercial Architectural Review Board:
Ms. Susanne Bradley of Dowling Signs, Inc. came forward to speak. Ms. Bradley stated that they are going back to their original proposal, which is to change out the sign panel to reflect the name Progressive. Chairwoman Damon stated that she preferred the sign without the green noting that it identifies the business much better.
Shirley Damon likes the sign without green. Isn't that special? Nothing in the law references any color and most of Vienna is painted crud brown by governmental design, but Damon likes this sign without green. Corrupt governments work to take the smallest of liberties and when you have dirty politicians like Damon on board, making the law up depending on what she had for lunch that day, maintaining control is easy as pie.

When you really think about what Shirley says, this town is completely corrupt. Shirley is a [communist] pig.
People come before these boards, back down and the Town continues to win.
Look at the woman who was forced to put up a hideous brown sign on Church Street. Do not tell me that her signage helped her business (which is going under). A beautiful, colorful "arty" sign would have attracted customers.

Business? We don't care about no stinking business! In fact if I had my way it would all be green. Green green green. See how politically advanced I am? You people live in Fairfax County you have enough money to keep paying the taxes I need! We don't need no stinking business!
