Vienna Council Member Involved in Altercation

From the Sun Gazette (Brian Trompeter):

"The Vienna Town Council voted 6-1 to censure Maud Robinson over a recent fight on the Town Green between Robinson and Historic Vienna, Inc. President Laine Hyde. A local teacher called 911 and both women were separated by Vienna Police with only minor injuries. A Vienna Police spokesperson had no comment, but witnesses said they were troubled that a local elementary class had observed the altercation."

Nothing happened. It's an 'April Fools' joke. If it had happened, it would have gotten bigger coverage.

I understand that what was described did happen but that it was really the comradery handshake recognition ritual which was mistaken for a fight.
