Seal of Approval, Ignorance or Disgust?

From the papers:

Four unopposed incumbents were re-elected to two-year terms in a contest marked by low voter turnout. Only 745 of the town's 10,678 registered voters cast votes, a turnout of 7 percent.

Why are the write-in votes not reported?

IS THAT HOW MANY MAUDASAURUS VOTERS THAT ARE IN TOWN OR IS RHODA STEVENS STILL WORKING HER MAGIC AT THE ELECTIONS?

It is absolutely positively a sign that NO one gives a rats ass about Vienna's politicians. Voters might care if there was reason to be excited.

The young families I meet all the time do not even realize that the lame banks, empty buildings and traffic are the doing of an ineffectual Town Council and Mayor.

When you have the power of a multi-million dollar budget, a newsletter that goes to everyone, a press who will print whatever, on the heels of last years election corruption...and you can only haul out 700 people to the polls? Safe to say Vienna politics is no longer functioning. It is a dead corpse rotting from the inside out.
