The reason this happened was because there was no security... You cannot dress the rotary people up with a yellow vests and make them security ... Also I noticed most of the security people out looking through the booths as tourists and not paying attention to security and I have pictures to show this. You get what you pay for with these boobs.

Rotary hires paid security to patrol as well as town of vienna cops and fairfax county cops.

A Vienna police officer found the girl talking to Fairfax County police at about 10:15 p.m.
I think this says a lot. Fairfax County was on the scene, first responder, and what a Vienna policeman came onto the scene? I saw 2 Vienna police all day and into the night sitting under the booth at church/lawyers. Why they didn't even stand up to help people cross the street. During the day I saw a strong police presence, but not at night. So I guess what I am getting at is this is another example of why the town should just give it up to Fairfax. They seem to respond.

So the pics of two old ladies patrolling last year weren't real? Or are those the hires you speak of? Give us a break. It's clown central.

I would like to have the names of the real security that was hired, or is this another lie?

Viva Vienna ended at 6:00 p.m. on Monday night. This was reported at 10:15 p.m??? And if rotary did the right thing by bringing in Fairfax County cops to supplement the Vienna cops (as they should for a large event), it does not mean anything that a Fairfax cop was there first. Lots of folks at Viva Vienna, $84,000 for charity raised, and lots of people had fun (including family of the frequent posters here - you know who you are. We saw you there......)

So was this guy a member of a Honduran soccer team?

VIENNA, Va. -- Police in Vienna have released a sketch of the man that allegedly assaulted a 17-year-old girl Monday night.
A Vienna police officer found the girl talking to Fairfax County police at about 10:15 p.m. She said that a Hispanic man in his 30s and standing about 6 feet tall with short brown hair and a mustache approached her on a green bicycle in the 200 block of Maple Avenue West.
Police said the man first approached her at a street festival and started talking to her. The man allegedly told the girl he had seen her earlier with a boy, police said. The man said he was 22 years old and from Honduras and wanted to be the girl's boyfriend.
She kept walking as he talked, police said, but the encounter turned physical.
According to police, the man grabbed the girl's arms and tried to push her down a trail near Shepherdson Lane. When she screamed, the man allegedly put his hand around her throat and tried to force her into a wooded area, News4's Miguel Almaguer reported.
Police said the girl was able to fight off her attacker and flee.
The man wore a yellow button-down short-sleeve shirt and blue jeans.
Witnesses should call police at 703-255-6395. Officers said people approached them saying they heard screaming. Police want to talk to the people who heard the screams.

So, does the suspect have a mustache or not?
From the TOV PD Media Release:
"The girl stated that in the 200 block of Maple Avenue West a Hispanic male
in his 30’s, approximately 6’ tall with short brown hair and a mustache"

I saw a mother with her 8 year old son wearing the Maud & Jane security pullovers and walking the Viva Vienna beat around 6pm Saturday.
What a joke.

truth or dare:
\"Witnesses should call police at 703-255-6395.\"
Since you know who the suspect is, the right thing to do is call the police and give them the person\'s identity and address.
Now do the right thing.

Uhhh "Do the Right Thing" I think that the comment made by "truth or dare" flew right over your head.
Im pretty sure that person was implying that the suspect was probably from the Vienna Park Apartments.
Most of the people who post on this site are decent human beings who would gladly go to police if they had useful information.
