WHOA! An Actual Halloween Theme for the Halloween Parade?! Holy smokes!

You mean we are not going to be celebrating Jamestown again this year? Nothing gets the kids excited for Halloween quite like historical events. Rats.

Vienna Halloween Parade Committee Starts Work

The Vienna Halloween Parade Committee has started its planning for the 62nd annual parade, to be held on Oct. 29.

The next parade planning committee meetings are slated for 9 a.m. on July 10 and Aug. 7 at the Vienna Community Center.

The theme of this year's parade is “It's an Old-Fashioned Halloween,” and the grand marshal will be Vienna's favorite vampire, Count Gore De Vol, the online host of “Creature Feature.”

Note Item 3 under Objectives refers to "perceived safety". There lies the problem. Give the pedestrian the false sense of safety. This brings up the subject of the tysons traffic study the town is clamoring for. It will be surprise when it is completed and recommends removing all the obstacles put in place by the town. To me the study equates to having a bowl full of nuts and you do a study to determine how many more nuts you can put in the overflowing bowl. The town board equates to a quilting clutch which will always find something new to produce. However, I believe the board will run out of streets and intersections to consider. When will it end?
