Suspicious Event 08-9004
200 Block Cedar Lane, SE
September 8, 2008 10:42 p.m.
A female known to officers was observed acting suspiciously near the Cedar Lane Shopping Center. After conducting surveillance, she was interviewed by MPO Evans and PFC Shaver. The woman stated that she engages in sexual acts multiple times during the day with random males. The acts are committed in one of the nearby apartments. The woman was advised by Vienna Park Apartments management and the police not to return or she would be charged with trespassing.

Comments
For those who don't know, the Vienna Park Apartments has long been a haven for illegal aliens and assorted other criminals: gang members, murders, thieves, sex offenders, drug dealers, and prostitutes.
While I appreciate VPD reporting this particular instance, Southern Management (which owns Vienna Park Apartments) isn't going to do anything to prevent this from happening again.
Mayor Seeman and the Vienna Town Council certainly aren't going to do anything -- they are too busy denying that we've got serious problems on our side of town.
I am beyond sad that our little town is becoming another Herndon.

So here's what I heard a few days ago from a reliable source within the Vienna Town Government:
The town council is intentionally not doing anything about the decline of the SE/SW side of Vienna. They feel it's easier to let quality of life and property values slide, then McMansion builders like Steve Bukont can swoop in and buy a bunch of our older homes for a song. In that way, they feel the problems "will take care of themselves."
This person also said that a few years ago, Steve Bukont (with some help from the TC) had attempted to purchase the Vienna Park Apartments property. If the deal had gone through, the property would have been torn down, and luxury Town Houses would have been built.

And yet, there's plenty of homes for sale in SW Vienna right now (some looked abandoned) but no one has bought them. You can build McMansions, but if the neighborood around it looks like crap (did residents give up on maintaining their property this year?) or clearly has an issue with illegals, than what self-respecting family will move in?

"suspicious event" that's how VPD describes "prostitution"
And, if they catch her again, they're going to charge her with "trespassing"
Only can hope that enough town residents are getting sick & tired of the nonsense the VTC allows to go on. Time for new blood on the VTC that will fight for Vienna.
