Don't Make Seeman Work Hard. Don't You People Know Better? Comments (2)

A response from Seeman to Vienna resident:

The letter from Judicial Watch offered suggestions and comments and did not require an answer. Chief of Police Carlisle is meeting with the Cedar Lane Shopping Center management at which time citizens' safety concerns will be discussed. The Town has met with the Center's management previously with satisfactory outcomes. These issues are addressed on a regular basis I suggest that if you need further information about the suggestions offered by Judicial Watch, you contact Chief Carlisle at rcarlisle@viennava.gov or 703-255-6390. Seeman Please Go Back to Handing Out Library Cards Comments (3)

It was not but a few years ago that the Vienna Town Council dumped $200,000+ in grant money on "flowers" at the Town Green. Now it appears we can't get basic road work done. When the funny government money came in for flowers it was all smiles, now Vienna looks like a bunch of whining losers (of course oblivious to economic realities) incapable of caring for itself. Nice job Seeman:

From the Sun Gazette: The Vienna Town Council voted unanimously April 21 not to volunteer transportation projects that could be cut by the Commonwealth Transportation Board. In an April 2 letter to the town, J. Douglas Koelemay of the board's Northern Virginia District asked Vienna officials to list projects that could be reduced if revenues were lower than estimated. Because road-maintenance demands continue to siphon off moneys that would go toward transportation projects, the state's primary, secondary and urban road-construction programs must be reduced by 44 percent, Koelemay wrote. The project list was to be compiled before the board's May 14 public hearing, but the Town Council declined to cooperate. "I'm not in favor of giving up anything," said Mayor M. Jane Seeman. "I just think it's unfair that the state penalizes us for what they've failed to do." Seeman, with the council's agreement, said she would send a letter to the Commonwealth Transportation Board asking that the town's road projects not be penalized. Town officials already delayed plans to renovate part of Cottage Street, S.W., in exchange for improvements to Branch Road, S.E., she said. Such lists also encourage local officials to pad their tallies with projects they know can be cut, said Council member Laurie Cole. Some council members said Vienna officials should prioritize their road-construction projects, lest state officials make program cuts for the town.

Jane Seeman: Momma Red Hunter on Maple Avenue Comments (11)

From the Connection live and in charge comes Momma Red Hunter:

[...Jane] Seeman is looking at the future of Maple Avenue, the Town's primary traffic route and corridor of business. "The Town Council needs to come up with plans for Maple Avenue enhancement and improvements. What do we need to do to make it better?" The Town Council has been working on the Town's water issues, and Seeman expects resolution soon. Seeman sees the Cedar Park shopping center and Cedar Lane apartments as an opportunity to try to bring that community closer into the Vienna community. "I am aware that some residents of that area have expressed concerns about the shopping center there and the apartments. The police have been doing a great job at the shopping center, getting cooperation from the shop owners and the people who live around there. "I'm willing to meet with people who have concerns." Seeman filled out her husband's term on Town Council after his death in 1996. She's lived in Vienna for 40 years, and is guardian to a cat and a rescued indoor rabbit, both of whom get along just fine.

We guess Seeman misplaced the Maple Avenue Vision Committee Report that she commissioned? It used to be that if someone lied you called them a liar. Now you have be more sensitive. What's really amazing about Seeman is that she uses "words" in "sentences" that literally say nothing and mean nothing.

Jane Seeman Giggling About Fireworks Horror on WMAL 630 Today Comments (9)

Today at the 11am news break on WMAL Jane Seeman was talking about the new Vienna laser show on the 4th of July. While "giggling" Seeman said she wasn't even sure what we were getting in terms of the laser show. A headline and Mayor we can all be proud of.

FLASH:

Now you can listen (MP3) to Mayor Boob Jane Seeman (or should we now call her Mayor Chucklehead?). Notice as she is saying that she "agonized"...she is laughing? Unreal. Wonder if the mother and child who were torched by pure negligence think it is funny?

Vienna Fireworks Reduced to Jane Seeman and a Laser Pointer Comments (12)

Recently Jane Seeman questioned Celine Dion music - concerned that she was Canadian. Since we pointed out Seeman's fine xenophobic rant, she must have felt the need to say more. From the Sun Gazette:

Vienna Town Council members on April 7 voted 5-2 to approve a contract with Image Engineering of Baltimore to produce a laser light show in lieu of fireworks at this year's Fourth of July celebration. Town officials opted to make the switch after several people were injured by a malfunctioning multi-shot firework at last year's celebration. The laser show, which will cost up to $22,700, is more expensive than the $10,000 spent last year on fireworks. The new show will project lasers into the sky and onto an inflatable, seven-story screen. The council also agreed to project up to 15 custom images, specific to the town, at a cost of $100 each. Robinson, who voted with Town Council member Michael Polychrones against the contract, wanted to hold the show's cost to no more than its base price of $15,000. Town Council member Laurie Cole countered that, because the town was breaking with its long-established fireworks tradition, it should not skimp on the laser show's quality. Vienna Parks and Recreation director Cathy Salgado agreed. "The $15,000 package is not enough to do something that will be a lasting impression in the minds of people here," Salgado said. "To give them the 'wow' factor, it needs to be a multi-layered, multi-dimensional show." In an aside to the main issue, Cole and Mayor M. Jane Seeman apologized for questioning, at an earlier meeting, the desirability of playing singer Celine Dion's music at the event. Neither, apparently, is a big fan of the Canadian songbird. Despite the apology, Polychrones said Cole and Seeman were right on in their musical tastes. "I have heard her songs and, in my opinion, Madam Mayor, you weren't that wrong," he said.

Who is betting that these crackpots shoot a kid in the eye with a laser and cause permanent eye damage? When you add stupidity with even more stupidity you don't get smarts.

Mayor Jane Seeman: Xenophobe or Mentally Challenged? Comments (6)

From the Sun Gazette comes Seeman's foot stuffed into her mouth:

Vienna Town Council members at their March 10 work session narrowed down options for a laser show at this year's Fourth of July celebration, but some worried the show's cost would be excessive. Vienna officials began considering a laser show after 11 people were injured during last year's show at Waters Field. The accident occurred when a Chinese-made, multi-shot firework failed catastrophically. Vienna paid about $10,000 for its fireworks show last year. The new 22-minute show, which would feature lasers, images projected onto a giant screen and close-proximity pyrotechnics, would cost about $23,000, said Andy Suehle, vice president of Image Engineering. The town's review-and-selection committee rated the Baltimore-based company as the one best capable of providing such a laser-light show. The company's credits include ceremonies for the 120th anniversary of the Brooklyn Bridge and the unveiling of the renovated Washington Monument. Image Engineering uses air-cooled lasers that do not require water, Suehle said. The company also has a inflatable projection screen that is seven stories tall and 110 feet wide, and can supply pyrotechnics that are safe for spectators as close as 15 feet away, he said. Parks and Recreation Department officials will work out details of the laser-light show and the Town Council likely will vote on the proposal at its April 7 meeting. Council member Maud Robinson said she would like the show to be appealing, but would vote against it if its cost exceeded $15,000. Council member Michael Polychrones concurred with Robinson's assessment. Suehle said the town could defray some costs by projecting event sponsors' logos onto the large screen. But Mayor M. Jane Seeman said she was loath to see the celebration commercialized. Council member Laurie Cole said she already has come under family pressure regarding the show's entertainment content. "My 16-year-old told me, 'No Celine Dion, please!'" Cole said. Seeman chimed in, "She's Canadian. Get her out."

Wonder if Seeman learned her xenophobia hanging out at LoboTommy's Red Hunter site?

The Snail Government Takes Action Comments (12)

From the Town website:

"At the Town Council's request, the Planning Commission is conducting an analysis of parking issues in the Church Street Pedestrian District (between Lawyers Rd and Dominion Rd). As part of this analysis, comments are being collected from Church Street Property Owners and Business Owners/Managers, as well as from the general public. Please see below to select the appropriate survey for your situation. Responses should be submitted by March 16."

Here is the survey. Look, if we were Seeman or Robinson this is exactly what we would do too. They have made their Council positions "for life". They don't have a clue how to run lead or even run a government, but "surveys" make them feel good.

NOTE: Don't miss Seeman's letter on the subject.

Finally An Event Jane Seeman is Capable of Leading: A Tea Party Comments (3)

Jane Seeman's qualifications for serving as Mayor of Vienna:

1. Handing out library cards at the Vienna library.
2. Extreme right wing political bent.
3. Running tea parties.

Tea Party in Occoquan; Vienna Parks and Recreation recently sponsored a trip to Occoquan for lunch at the Pink Bicycle Tea Room and a short walking tour. Participants included (seated l-r) Barbara Klick, Emmy Mcarver, Dadia Stern, Harriet Miller (standing l-r) Freida Giroir,Catherine Cissel, Patricia Fuksa, Louise Hoh, Mayor Jane Seeman, and Recreation Program Coordinator Cheryl Harlan. Upcoming trips include the Philadelphia Flower Show on March 6 and the Atlantic City overnighter March 20 and 21. Large Picture.

Beulah Road Disaster Coming to an End Comments (2)

It appears that the Beulah Road disaster project is coming to an end (we could be wrong). Time for Seeman and crew to put their Town Council pajamas on and head on over to the ribbon cutting ceremony!

Jane Seeman on Reston Cable TV: Hypocrite Extraordinaire Comments (6)

While Jane Seeman has made sure Vienna does not have its meetings on cable TV, she has no problem appearing on a Reston cable TV show. Hypocrite is an understatement:

That was the "controlled" Seeman saying nothing flapping her lips (if you can stomach her whole interview you deserve a prize!). Here is some of the "real" Seeman:

Seeman pretending to be a cop.

Seeman attending parade.

Seeman confused...again. Note: red lips violation.

The Mind of Jane Seeman Is An Empty Place Comments (6)

From the Sun Gazette:

Mayor M. Jane Seeman, surrounded by Town Council members, staff and VDOT representatives, cuts the ceremonial ribbon re-opening Branch Road to two-way traffic once again. To great fanfare, and even greater relief, the state Department of Transportation (VDOT) and the Town of Vienna officially re-opened Branch Road to two-way traffic on Friday. Town council members, staff and VDOT representatives cut a red ribbon, opening Branch Road after an eight-month closure. Once VDOT gave the go-ahead, the town decided a grand re-opening of Branch Road was in order. Now, it's business as usual. "We appreciate the support we received from the town and the community," said VDOT resident administrator, Mahmud Hussain, after the ribbon-cutting. "This project improves the quality of life in Vienna." Businesses in Danor Plaza have suffered since the road, under VDOT construction, became a "do-not-enter" from Maple Avenue. Recently, the town erected an electronic sign pointing to the Maple Avenue entrance into the shopping center to encourage drivers to turn in there. "It was a good project ... and we're happy it's finished," said Mayor M. Jane Seeman, wielding a giant pair of scissors. "Thank you all for being patient."

The Vienna Town Council through sheer incompetence forces businesses to lose thousands, forces Vienna citizens to be tied in traffic knots and that is a "good project"? Yes, they actually lined up and had a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate what any other sane person would consider a disaster. Why can't Jane go back to handing out bumper stickers for State politicians? That, and handing out library cards, are her sole resume qualifications. And you know what? If she only had those qualifications, and made intelligent decisions, we would praise her. However, nothing the Mayor of Vienna does smells of a working mind.

PS. How much longer will Beulah Road take to finish? We are sure some boob will declare that a "good project" when its done too!

TheRedHunter.com Sensibilities Comments (4)

We have not checked into TheRedHunter.com (a 'fun' site run by the Mayor of Vienna's chief campaigner) for sometime now, but a quick review tonight provides an illuminating glimpse into the Seeman family. Is this the kind of stuff that most Vienna citizens groove on? It does appear that the typical racist rants we spotted a few years back have gone underground.

Maud Wants Christmas Red Banned Comments (3)

Tonight at the annual Church Street stroll Jane and Maud took credit for Christmas. We are one lucky Town to have such accomplished leaders! They also proposed to eliminate all use of the color red during the month of December. Maud's nutty hatred toward the color red reminds us of the famous Joan Crawford "Mommie Dearest" scene where she screams and rails against wire hangers while she beats her daughter senseless.

"Maud, no more red!!!"

Mayor Jane Seeman Is Not Competent; Yet Another Example Comments (12)

From the Sun Gazette comes some interesting quotes:

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Keith Johnson has recommended that Vienna's July 4 fireworks show not by held at Waters Field...Johnson...who was at Waters Field when the accident occurred, recommended town officials not hold the fireworks display there because the crowd is too close. “Vienna is one of the tightest shoots we do,” said Johnson, noting that spectators completely encircle the launching site.

Mayor Seeman's response?

But Vienna Mayor M. Jane Seeman said the prospect of relocating the town's beloved fireworks show is distressing. “It kills me to have to move them from out of Vienna,” she said. “I've already heard from citizens: ‘You're not going to move them.'”

It just "kills" her? A mother and her child are nearly killed and it just "kills" Seeman? Seeman is not qualified to lead people to a Don's John, much less be a Mayor.

Old Ladies Run "Posh" Out Comments (41)

Let's be blunt. No need to sugar coat it. No need to keep pretending. Maud Robinson and Jane Seeman are ignorant old ladies hell bent on destroying Vienna.

Case in point: Posh.

Posh is going. You know, the long time gift shop on Church Street in the old bank - gone. Run out of Town by Maud, Jane and their idiotic zoning code. The Mayor refuses to meet with the owners because she is too busy hanging out at the Red Hunter blog. What property will these two dimwits condemn next?

To those people in Vienna with a pulse who vote, the time to pay attention is now. Do we really have to let two stubborn, angry and ignorant old ladies ruin Vienna? And please, will the sycophant children of Town management come online (yet again) and make some posts about how wonderful their parents are?

Pedestrian Safety Courtesy of Momma Red Hunter Comments (26)

Given the fact that NOTHING takes place in Vienna when it comes to Maple Avenue's congestion and or safety, we were surprised to find Momma Jane Seeman's thoughts on traffic at her son's blog. Follow along Vienna citizens and feel secure that these windbags are making decisions for our welfare. First Tom Seeman opines:

Is it just me, or is there an epidemic of jaywalking in our country? Yes that's right, Jaywalking. I cannot drive around anymore without seeing people running across some fairly busy streets. The mainstreet of my little town is one of those four-lane roads, with businesses on each side, with a turning lane down the middle of the street. Undivided, you know what I mean. Every quarter mile or something there is a stoplight, and the speed limit is maybe 35mph but you know how that goes. And half the time I'm downtown some idiot is running across the street, as often as not young parents with little children in tow. Now mind you there's a crosswalk not more than a hundred feet away. And I've seen this too on busier roads than this. Now mostly, and this is just a personal observation, most of the jaywalkers are Hispanic. If this is accurate, and it might not be, is this the result of cultural or socio-economic factors? Or is it the result of a general breakdown of an attitude towards law-and-order? Maybe it's just me, but when I was a kid it was inconceivable that I'd do anything other than cross at the crosswalk. But then, we also called adults "Mr" or "Mrs" in those days, too, which is something else that seems to have gone by the wayside. So tell me, do you notice this where you live too, or is it just me?

Jane Seeman the Mayor of Vienna responds:

tom--Jaywalking is rampant you're right. I have not observed any one group breaking the law tho. People then complain about how bad the traffic is, they can't even cross the street! "We need to have more pedestrian-friendly streets." Often it is families all strung out or maybe a mother with a couple of kids. The crosswalk or intersection could be close by too. The solution is to have fences along all the sidewalks with cutouts only where people have the right to cross. But that is unsightly and not practical. In DC a jaywalker was recently ticketed. He had been hit by a car when jaywalking. He died later and of course the police got a bad rap. People have to take more responsibility and practice what they preach to their children--cross at an intersection, look both ways, look both ways again, then cross. -ma

Isn't that special? The Mayor of Vienna has now said more on her son's extreme website about traffic safety than she has ever said in her capacity as Mayor of Vienna. Go Momma Red Hunter!

No Hispanics in the Seeman Family Portrait!

Mayor Jane Seeman Blows a Kiss Comments (10)

From the Sun Gazette:

Vienna's burgeoning sidewalk-construction program got a boost on July 24 when the U.S. House of Representatives approved $100,000 for these projects...Vienna Mayor M. Jane Seeman said she was pleased by the federal contribution. "I'm thrilled to death," she said. "That's going to be very valuable in helping us move forward with our next phase of sidewalk building." Vienna's Sidewalk Subcommittee in March identified $8.4 million worth of needed sidewalk projects.

Jane Seeman gets 1% of the needed monies from Davis and is "thrilled". How does $100,000 allow anything when the bill is $8 million plus? Not that Davis is responsible for our sidewalks, that's not the point. But Seeman is clearly in over her head. Blowing public kisses doesn't get sidewalks built.

Seeman on Recent #70 Comments (4)

From the Sun Gazette:

OK, so it's not the No. 4 ranking from two years ago. Regardless, Vienna leaders say they are still happy, that CNN/Money Magazine ranked the town No. 70 in its annual list of the 100 Best Places to Live in the United States. Vienna Mayor M. Jane Seeman welcomed the laurels, but said town residents did not need a magazine ranking to know Vienna is a pleasant place in which to live. “It's always good to get recognition, but it's not something we hold our breath for,” Seeman said.

Hmm. We thought Jane was responsible for the #4, but this comment seems to put distance between her and any ranking of Vienna. Keep the faith! Jane and Maudasaurus have a year to make changes. They can get us back to #4 soon enough!

The Vienna Inn Has Gomer and Goober Working Hard for Its Demise Comments (9)

Tonight at a Vienna Town Council meeting the Vienna Inn and parking garages came up. Nothing new there, Gomer and Goober are set to make sure the Inn comes to an end (and expect them to be sneaky about it as we have been saying all along). Seeman acknowledged that she is in talks with the Inn's owner (and other owners in the vicinity). Keep in the mind the current owner of the Inn doesn't own the land and Seeman & Robinson know that. The next time Seeman spins a yarn about small town this and small town that, perhaps Vienna citizens will think to respond back to her with the word "hypocrite" in a sentence.

Jane "Momma Red Hunter" Seeman Doesn't Want a Camera On Her For Good Reason Comments (2)

From the Vienna website comes this bit of text:

Welcome to the Town of Vienna, Virginia

This site contains essential Town government information for residents and businesses alike. The calendar, meeting agendas, job openings, procurement opportunities, and other pages are updated on a regular basis. Pay Issues with Town Staff; Something Is Brewing Comments (17)

An email was received today. We felt we should pass it along to everyone for feedback - good or bad. It included (4) PDFs (1, 2, 3, 4) and said the following:

I am an admirer of your site, and wanted to pass on some information I wasn't sure you were aware of. Recently the Town decided to commission a pay study by a company called the Archer Company. One of the key contentions for this was to correct any issues with existing positions, and also meet the Town's (stated) goal of being within 5% of the median pay of surrounding jurisdictions. All employees were required to fill out a questionnaire, with a load of questions it took many people hours to go through, understand, and then respond to.

Many Views of Same Event Comments (1)

While we recently reported on the Chamber of Commerce Casino night (here and here), we thought in terms of balance we should report the Sun Gazette's version of the night:

"The event featured revelers who enjoyed a luau-themed evening and helped support the Chamber. No matter that the calendar said March 3. It was luau time for the Vienna-Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber's annual Casino Night and Taste of the Town, held at the Westwood Country Club, brought out the local business community for a night of fun. An annual tradition, the Casino Night features great food and plenty of camaraderie. This week's Sun Gazette has a full page of photos from the celebration."

Peek A Boo I See You! Jane Seeman Goes Preschool Comments (0)

This post is troubling. Can anyone imagine Tom Davis or Gerry Connelly doing this at the same event (they were there)? Why should the citizens of Vienna put up with such an embarrassment?

Vienna is a Town. It is not a playground. It is not preschool Mrs. Seeman. Your inability to handle yourself at a public event is pathetic. Your inability to smile and wave to a camera is pathetic. You are a big girl now Jane, right? You are expected to show the people of Vienna the decision-making ability of an adult, not a petulant child. What goes on in your mind? You see a camera and think "quick hide"?

What is even more troubling is that the same decision-making you used to hide from a camera is the same decision-making you use DAILY as the Mayor of Vienna. Clearly, it is time for you to move on to greener pastures.

Mayor Jane Seeman Hides From the Camera; Is This Normal Behavior for a Public Official? Comments (8)

The Vienna-Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce held their VERY PUBLIC Fourteenth Annual Casino Night & Taste of the Town Saturday night at the Westwood Country Club. Hundreds attended. All the local politicians were there schmoozing along with the likes of Congressman Tom Davis. Photographers were all around. Everyone was enjoying themselves.

That said, this is Vienna and things tend to get weird. In between the Mayor of Vienna hiding from the camera and Laine Hyde's companion going after a photographer, you start to wonder about the mental makeup of some of the people in charge of Vienna.

Jane and Maud Discuss Economic Development in the Stone Age Comments (6)

This is a 25 minute video clip (25MB) from Monday's Town Council work session. Note how Council members Kelleher and Polychrones address legitimate issues only to be shouted down by Mother Maud. Seeman seems lost throughout. Lovelace's statements are an embarrassment (he is either spinning or ignorant). Cole has no other objective except to try and assume Maud's role when she is gone (and make lots of $).

This file was too big to go on YouTube.com. The video is only grainy due to compression. If the Council was not so intent on "hiding", and put meetings on cable, this would not be an issue.

Why Did the Mayor of Vienna Lie? Here Is One Citizen's Excuse Comments (4)

This post brought in this feedback:

Isn't it possible the mayor receives a number of letters every day, and when she received your request for a copy of this particular letter she made an assumption that it was only directed to her? Maybe this is a stretch but I'm willing to give our mayor the benefit of the doubt on this. As you say, why lie about something so trivial? She may be guilty of making a poor assumption. I’d like to think she isn’t going out of her way to lie about something which you were able to acquire on your own.

The only trivial part of Seeman's video response is the part she decided to lie about, but the letter is by no means trivial.

In fact, this very non-personal letter, sent on legal letterhead, was from one of the most influential Vienna citizens of the last 30 years. He has been a close friend of Maud's for decades. The motivation for hiding the letter? The letter struck right at the recently passed Maple Avenue redevelopment plan passed by Council. The author of the letter was specifically left out of Town redevelopment plans after being led to believe he would be included for 3 years.

For the criticism to come from this man was no small matter for Seeman. Read between the lines and it is clear litigation is on the way.

Additionally, Seeman's letter had all the CC's in plain view. To make the assumption it was only for her doesn't pass the smell test. You think the Council did not discuss the letter the moment they all received it? Give us a break. Once citizens found out that the CC's were on the letter the Town rolled over and provided a copy. Obviously, it was an organized game by Seeman.

Now that you know more, it will be interesting to see if you continue to make inane excuses for a Mayor caught in the act of lying through her teeth.

Arrogantly Out of Touch Comments (2)

This website has been up and going since November 2005. We quickly got an audience with the now infamous meltdown here. Now, some 15 months later, the Mayor of Vienna is still playing games by attempting to hide a letter. Are Seeman and Robinson just out of touch? Are they just arrogant? Are they just stupid?

Perhaps some people might not like how those questions are phrased. However, to every thinking person in Vienna it is painfully clear that Jane Seeman's attempt to hide that letter speaks volumes about how she views Vienna citizens. How did the woman who once taught preschool and has now handed out library cards for twenty years become smarter than all of us? By refusing to give that letter over immediately, by using some inane State legal exemption to cover her your know what, Seeman was in essence saying she is not honest.

The Letter Jane Seeman Did NOT Want Vienna Citizens to Read Comments (12)

Here is the letter (PDF) that Jane Seeman did not want any citizen of Vienna to see. In the letter it refers to a study. That study, which was deep-sixed, can be download and read here.

A side note on the letter above. When Maud Robinson heard of this plan she put forward an alternate vision. She proposed that they tear the current building down and build a 1 story strip mall where you could park your car right in the front of the stores. We are not joking. If Mother Maud was 85 and with it, that's one thing. She is not with anything anymore. She is lost.

About Face. Forward March. The Big Jane Flip Flop Comments (3)

We just got word that the letter in question denied by Jane Seeman is now ready to be picked up at Town Hall. Apparently, the original phony baloney legal reason to deny the public seeing the letter...disappeared overnight. As Gomer Pyle would say, surprise, surprise, surprise.

The Mayor of Vienna Plays the Shell Game Comments (5)

Jane Seeman, Posing As A Monkey, Likes to Play Games

It has come to our attention that a letter exists from the owners of the commercial property at the corner of Maple Avenue and Pleasant Street to the Mayor, Town Council and Zoning Director. The letter, which we have not seen yet, outlines problems with the current plans to revitalize Maple Avenue. Of course, upon hearing about this letter we asked for a copy. In the spirit of open government (NOT!) we heard back from the Town Public Information Officer:

The Town Attorney has advised that the letter is exempt from disclosure under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and the Mayor has chosen to invoke this exemption.

Way to go Jane! Does the letter contain State secrets? Or maybe you are holding it back due to terror concerns? Given your credibility there must be a good reason? You would not hold it back just because it was embarrassing now would you Momma Red Hunter? The specific section of FOIA that they used to block the release of the letter is as follows:

§ 2.2-3705.7. Exclusions to application of chapter; records of specific public bodies and certain other limited exemptions. 2. Working papers and correspondence of the Office of the Governor; Lieutenant Governor; the Attorney General; the members of the General Assembly or the Division of Legislative Services; the mayor or chief executive officer of any political subdivision of the Commonwealth; or the president or other chief executive officer of any public institution of higher education in Virginia. However, no record, which is otherwise open to inspection under this chapter, shall be deemed exempt by virtue of the fact that it has been attached to or incorporated within any working paper or correspondence.

We wonder what this letter, sent to everyone in the Town governmental structure, could say that would cause the Mayor to take an action that makes her look like she is hiding something? At what stage is it appropriate to say Seeman is corrupt? Now perhaps? Of course, we will post the letter as soon as we get it. How will we get it? Now that we know the letter was sent to the Town Zoning Administrator too, he doesn't have any State exemptions that we know about...

Jane Seeman The Historic Hypocrite Gives Her Church "Special" Treatment Comments (2)

Below is a picture of what the Vienna Presbyterian Church looked like before Jane Seeman and Laurie Cole pushed along the new historical preservation. And these two hypocrites have the nerve to hoist this fake Vienna history cr*p on others.

Circa ?

What does the after look like? View Circa 2003-05.

That after picture is BEFORE the latest monster addition. We can't wait to see the finished Church once the satellite photos are updated. Don't get us wrong, it's great that everyone is happy with a new church. Just don't push your hypocritical historic BS on others without a fight.

Give credit to Maud, at least she got rid of the original garish red roof.

Vienna Democrats Do You Really Know Mayor Jane Seeman? Comments (0)

Jane Seeman months back could not answer questions about the Red Hunter, but her nutbag son Tommie Boy has no problem telling you why he is the Red Hunter. Vienna Democrats will enjoy this diatribe from Tom Seeman (his resume):

I remember the exact moment it happened. I believe I was a junior in high school, which would place the event in the 1976/77 school year. Our English classes were set up so that just as in college, students had a series of classes to choose from each quarter. As I recall, most of the classes were literature. The class I chose for that fateful class was centered on totalitarianism. We read two or three books that quarter, but there was one that made a profound impact on me. That book was "1984" by George Orwell. To this day I remember how profoundly I was struck by this work. Like everyone else who reads it, I was rooting for Winston Smith throughout the book. When he was utterly defeated by the overpowering might of the totalitarian state, I was devastated. It was not just that they had imprisoned him, or tortured him, that hit me. It was the success of their effort at mind control. By the end, Smith is not merely forced to cooperate, he willingly converts to the belief that Big Brother is good. He becomes a total convert to Ingsoc, the state ideology. It was this, then, that hit me the hardest. As I said, I remember the exact moment that I finished the book. Before this event, politics, and especially the Cold War struggle against the Soviet Union, were abstractions. No more. "The Soviet Union must be destroyed" went through my mind again and again. I was never taken in by those leftists who insist on seeing Orwell's work as an attack on the west, and in particular the United States. To be sure, we can see "Orwellian" speech in our daily lives, and we sometimes say that "Big Brother" is doing this or that in our country. But there was never any doubt in my mind that Orwell's masterpiece was primarily an attack on the totalitarian mind-control ideologies of his day; Soviet communism and German Nazism. We had defeated the latter, but the former remained a significant threat. This began a life-long study of the world around me. Over the past twenty-five or so years I have read dozens if not hundreds of books on a variety of subjects. Initially my primary reading centered around military history and totalitarian ideologies, and indeed books on these subjects still make up the majority of my library. It always seemed natural for me to be a political conservative. My parents were Republicans, and not being a rebellious type it was natural for me to follow in their footsteps. This, coupled with my anti-Soviet crusade, led me to the right. I suppose if I had been born twenty years earlier the chances of my going to either party were about equal. Up until the late '60s the Democrats were as anti-Soviet as the Republicans. The sea change that occurred at the end of the Vietnam war squelched any chance of my becoming a Democrat. My beliefs have not changed that much over the years. If anything, perhaps I have become more libertarian. As I have grown more as a Christian, I have been less impressed by the "religious right"; something of a paradox, perhaps. I then grew up as a dedicated Cold Warrior. If you check out my personal blog, you'll see that it's got a Cold War name. The story there is simple; when thinking of a title, I started looking at my book collection for inspiration. I came across William F Buckley's The Redhunter. This book tells the story of Senator Joe McCarthy in novel form. Buckley's theme is that while McCarthy and his minon Roy Cohn were scoundrels, the cause of anti-communism is noble and just. It is a theme with which I agree wholeheartedly. I therefore chose it as the title of my blog. I therefore see our current war against the Islamofascists as in the same mold as the great twentieth-century struggles against Nazism and Communism. Different in many ways, but also quite similar. Whether we win or seek accommodation depends on our willpower. Despite occasional missteps, we prevailed against the old totalitarians. We can do so again.

The Windover Heights Historic District Has No Guidelines Comments (2)

The post from "Frank" yesterday along with all of the comments, made us realize that it was time to repost Town leaders caught in the lie. From January 9, 2006 we bring you the Mayor Jane Seeman revealing that there are no "guidelines":

The best part of the video? Watch the last 30 seconds as Maud grits her teeth and rolls her eyes at the moronic answer that Seeman has just given. Mao Maud has her mouth open blowing out air of displeasure! Classic video! It is our best guess that Momma Red Hunter doesn't want to answer these types of questions under the threat of perjury!

The Vienna Inn's Reach to Russia Will Soon End if Jane & Maud Have Their Way Comments (0)

In response to this post, one long time resident responded with a reminder of the international reach of the Vienna Inn:

Before or at the time Roger Seeman got sick he made a trip to St. Petersburg USSR (or Russia). He told the story at a council meeting that while there he saw a Russian youth wearing a Vienna Inn T-shirt. He questioned him about it and found the person had been to the US. I suspect Jane was with him on his trip.

Jane Seeman is now right there with Maud. She wants the area where the Vienna Inn sits to be leveled as that is where Vienna's two most powerful leaders view Vienna's new Town Center. Think anyone in Russia knows (or cares) of the Freeman Store?

Jane and Maud want the wrecking ball to hit here!

How Much Cash Does the Mayor Have? Comments (0)

We have reported on Maud Robinson's secret pile of cash and Laurie Cole's cozy 'get rich with developers' moves, but as an update we provide Jane Seeman's financials under the State of Virginia Freedom of Information Act. It is always a good thing to know how much money our elected leaders have - and if money is the measuring stick 'Maud the Fraud' really is the Mayor.

The Mayor Opens Her Mouth Comments (0)

Jane Seeman was quoted recently about newly appointed Council member Dan Dellinger:

"I was very impressed with the homework he did" for meetings of the Board of Architectural Review, she said. She added that Dellinger's involvements are well rounded and "not centered on any particular agenda or issue." Dellinger has served on the board of directors for Historic Vienna Inc. for three years and is leaving his seat on the Board of Architectural Review after four months, to take his place on the council."

While we mean this as no criticism of Dellinger, he is an unknown quantity, the Mayor's comments are slanted. First, what homework can you do sitting on the ARB? There are no rules Mayor. If you were simply making a comment to a reporter to hear yourself talk, then you are excused. Second, any involvement with Historic Vienna, Inc. and Laine Hyde does not qualify as well rounded - whether its Dellinger or anyone else. It might sound great to use the phrase 'Historic Vienna, Inc.' in the local papers, but it is a term that has come to be synonymous with abuse of power and wacky old ladies talking about their mythical social standing.

Vienna's finest continue to lead us nowhere.

Tom Seeman on Hurricane Katrina and Racism Comments (1)

It has been a while since we reached into Tom Seeman's racist bag of tricks. Consider Tom's views on hurricanes and racism:

What we saw in New Orleans, and the race-baiting that followed, is the result of forty years of liberal social programs. It is absurd beyond reason to say that this country has not worked it's collective butt off to make life better for it's underclass from at least 1933 on. And it defied comprehension how anyone could say that we have not tried beyond trying to make the lives of black people in particular better since the mid-fifties, with the trend accelerating greating from 1964 on. Trillions of dollars, program after program, quota after quota(excuse me, "diversity"). So at this point we are entitled to ask a question: If white racism is as big a problem as the left says it is, and they allege it runs all the way up to the president, then what does that say about all the liberal social programs to alleviate all this that we've followed? I'll spare you the typing and answer the question myself; your policies have failed. The liberal welfare state, and the modern "diversity" and "multiculturalism" that have been forced on us, have not worked. Not nearly as much as their sponsors claim, at any rate. The black citizens of New Orleans who were so impoverished that they didn't own cars, or have the money to get out, were not victims of racism. They were victims of the failed liberal welfare state. And why do so many buy into the notion that federal government failures were the result of racism? I'll spare you the typing on this one too; because liberal leaders have done nothing but preach the gospel of victimhood to them. We will no doubt hear that "both sides need to come together", that conservatives need to "reach out", blah blah blah. Sorry, but after listening to the insanities coming from the left on the issue of race after Katrina, I'm not in much mood for "coming together" with the likes of Al Sharpton, Howard Dean, most members of the Congressional Black Caucus, or, while we're at it, the NAACP. I have had it up to here with them. P.S. I hated writing this post. This entire affair pains me greatly, and so wish things weren't as they were. But some things have to be said."

Why relevant? The Mayor of Vienna goes to her son's web site and participates by posting comments. Her video answer looks worse as time goes on.

The Sun Gazette: Bank Robberies Are 'Par for the Course' Comments (2)

A resident who was concerned about bank robberies wrote to the Sun Gazette Newspaper and received this out of touch response:

I'm not sure if there is a trend here -- six bank robberies in 12 months in a jurisdiction the size of Vienna may just be par for the course. That's where the money is , so that's where robberies tend to occur. But I will ask our staff to see if, statistically, that many robberies is off the charts. Thanks again for the feedback. -- Scott McCaffrey

6 bank robberies in the last year and 7 in the prior 5 years. We wonder if the "stats guys" at the Sun Gazettee will be able to deduce any trend there? And we wonder when he talks about the "money", if he means Maud?

Tom Seeman Gets a Promotion for Racist Views Comments (4)

Tom Seeman, Jane Seeman's ultra-right wing son and owner of a racist blog, recently got a promotion from the Town of Leesburg. Tom is a member of the Town of Leesburg's Cable TV Advisory Commission, but he was recently made Chairman. We reveal that Seeman has racist views, Leesburg promotes him.

Amazingly, not too long ago in a Sun Gazette article by Brian Trompeter, Jane Seeman was quoted on race relations:

"...Vienna Mayor M. Jane Seeman challenged students to examine their own ideas about tolerance and asked if society had realized Dr. King's dream for justice, brotherhood and truth. 'We can look to the government, educational institutions and the workplace for the answer, but I believe we need to look no further than our own hearts and minds,' Seeman said."

Why then Mrs. Mayor, if this is what you believe, do you post messages to your son Tom Seeman's hate-based web site?

Maud & Jane Pushing #4 Down the Drain Comments (3)

While Vienna received the #4 ranking last year from Money Magazine, it is painfully obvious that Jane Seeman and Maud Robinson are working together to eliminate that lofty national stature. The shenanigans outlined on this site, led and fostered by Seeman and Robinson, will eventually prove detrimental for Vienna. The time to fix problems is now. This site seeks to right the wrongs and preserve Vienna as a great community.

Tom Seeman: The Emperor Has No Clothes Comments (3)

Leesburg Endorses Tom Seeman?

While not holding down the fort at his racist web site, where his mother the Mayor of Vienna Jane Seeman is a contributor, Tom Seeman also serves within the Town of Leesburg government. What does he do? Tom Seeman serves on the Town of Leesburg's Cable TV Advisory Commission which is described as:

"The Town of Leesburg has its own government access channel. All government access programming for the Town is featured on Adelphia Channel 21. This includes Town Council Worksessions, Town Council Meetings, Planning Commission Meetings and a 24-hour information bulletin board."

Here is the Tom Seeman resume submitted to serve in Leesburg government (PDF).

Gee, wonder if Vienna could ever get a channel?

Jane Seeman's Tacit Support of Son's Hate Speech Comments (4)

Jane Seeman Should Consider Her Options

Jane Seeman, by visiting, reading and writing to her son's now infamous hate blog, has condoned it all. The citizens of Vienna can only be sad that the Mayor of Vienna has participated in and refused to distance herself from such hate-filled diatribes. Our recent posts, with your comments, here and here say it all. It's one thing to have a child offering wild hate speech, it's quite another thing for the Mayor of Vienna to add her comments to her son's blog rants without condeming him. Or does none of this moral and ethical stuff matter any more? Who cares Seeman just won the election big? Is that the attitude?

Tom Seeman's "Social Views" Comments (10)

Tom Seeman Protesting

Tom Seeman (The Mayor of Vienna's Son), who provided feedback on Vienna and an assortment of social issues, also offered his brand of wisdom on "gays". As you read this dreck from Tom Seeman, keep in mind that the Mayor of Vienna, Jane Seeman, regularly reads this stuff and responds to it:

"So it was the unusual news story that told us that the California legislature had passed a bill to make "gay marriage" legal. Most Democrat politicians in the country are caught between a rock and a hard place with this issue. On the one hand, they've got their gay consituency telling them that gay marriage is their number 1 issue. On the other, they've got their much larger black and labor union constituency telling them "no way." The courts provide the perfect answer. They simply put liberal judges in place, and hope they pass gay marriage laws (excuse me, "reinterpret the constitution"). The politicians can then say to the blacks and union members "hey, don't look at me", while it's wink wink to the gays."

More from Tom Seeman:

"Twenty or thirty years ago we were told that we should "tolerate" gay people. Ok, society said. Next thing we know we're told that you're a bigot if you don't approve of gay marriage and that the Boy Scouts are one of the worst organizations on earth. And, as a recent incident at Harvard involving Jada Pinkett Smith demonstrated, if gays are allowed to marry, using the "husband" or "wife" word will become as taboo as saying "Christmas break"."

Tom Seeman also covered a recent Nobel Peace Prize winner:

"A few days ago we learned that, Wangari Maathai, a black African woman, had won the Nobel Peace Prize for 2004. She was the first on her continent to have done so, and it seemed like a nice story. No doubt that Africa could use more peacemakers...But really, of all the people on the planet, and all that's happened this past year, is she really the most deserving?"

More from Tom:

"On the "other side" (augh, how I hate to divide us so) some (is that better?) black people need to accept that it is no longer 1955. The NAACP and other extremist groups need to recognize that what columnist Walter Williams has said; that the war against racial opppression has been won, and that it is over. We're not still fighting the Germans or Japanese, thus our military and foreigh policies have changed. Jim Crow is dead, but extremist groups cannot accept this simple fact. Likewise, racial provocateurs such as Al Sharpton must be marginalized. It is to the everlasting shame of the Democratic Party that such people are not only tolerated but accepted with open arms. Media institutions fawn over Sharpton, and totally ignore his history. This must change if there is to be racial reconciliation. Jesse Jackson marginalized himself, but as long as Sharpton is accepted it will be difficult or impossible for changes to occur. Lastly, the entire liberal obsession with "victimhood" must end. As Shelby Steele put it, in order "to move beyond the victim-focused black identity; we must learn to make a difficult but crucial distinction; between acual victimization, which we must resist with every resource, and identification with the victim's status."

Tom Seeman admits he should not say these things, but it doesn't stop him! Read:

"If you're like me then you don't go around talking politics to everyone you meet. Certainly at work, where it seems we spend so much of our lives, I don't talk politics except perhaps with a - very - few trusted associates. And in daily life it's not something that get's discussed much, and when I do it's not in depth. Politics being as divisive as it is, and myself being so passionate about it, the last thing I want to do is to create unnecessary divisions and hard feelings. Oh sure, there is always the occasional exception. But in general my intellectual experience has been confined to reading books and talking about them only occasionally with a few people. With my family it's an entirely different matter. We talk politics almost everytime we meet. Everyone is a conservative, so any disagreement is usually over things like "how great a danger is Hillary?" or something like that. We're a pretty loud bunch, with everyone talking at once, kids running around, the whole bit. But we don't get together but once every month or so."

Mayor, are you on board with your son's anti-gay agenda, statements on black racists, rants against Hispanics, battles with 'pinkos' and slam of the Presbyterian Church? You are obviously reading it all, we have seen (and saved) your response to his writings!

Seemans Gloat About Vienna Elections at Extremist Web Blog Comments (6)

Jane Seeman (middle) and Tom Seeman Gloat About Machine Politics

Tom Seeman, Jane Seeman's son and self-stated life-long family campaigner, offered a recent view on getting elected in Vienna. Here are excerpts from Tom Seeman that we could not even begin to fabricate:

"Generally speaking, in small town elections issues do not matter. There are exceptions, of course. In Herndon VA, not too far from Vienna, politicians who supported a "day laborer" (read "illegal alien) center were thrown out. There are also situations in growing communities whereby the construction of a new school raises controversy. But generally there are no overriding issues because small towns do not control schools and do not discuss issues like abortion, gun control, or the war in Iraq. The situation changes when you get to cities and counties, but again, this post is about small towns. Getting elected in a small town is all about knowing a lot of people. It's about being involved in the community for years, preferably decades. It's all about participating in everything from the Boy or Girl Scouts to Little League Baseball to serving on the town planning commission or board of zoning appeals. In short, people vote for people they trust. And they trust people they either know or see who have been involved in their community. The reason for this is simple; most people don't pay attention to what goes on at town hall. As long as the trash gets picked up and roads are repaired, and taxes don't go too high, they simply have other things to worry about. The big paper in the nearby city (in this case, the Washington Post), ignores the small towns, and what local papers there are don't really do much of what you'd call investigative journalism, mainly because there's not a lot to investigate. In addition, most people don't pay a lot of attention to the local papers. In short, Johnny-come-lately's rarely win or hold seats on town councils. Every 5 or 7 years there's a "throw the bums out" movement in Vienna that runs a few candidates. Over the decades I've seen a few of these groups, and they're all the same; someone get's all bent out of shape over one issue and gets some like-minded friends to go in with him. They raise a big fuss and end up with maybe 30% of the vote. You also never see them again."

Tom then outlined his intimate involvement with his mother's campaign:

"So bright and early Tuesday May 2 I got up bright and early to help mom get re-elected. First I stopped off at my voting place in Leesburg VA to vote, more about which later. I was at my voting place at 6:05 AM, and was the 6th person to vote. Then it was off to Vienna...My job was to give mom's handout to people coming to the polls. Helping one or another parent get elected or re-elected is a family tradition which goes back over 20 years...For over twenty years it at all possible everyone in the family has helped out election day. We stand outside the polls and hand literature to voters."

Sadly, Jane Seeman regularly reads and appends comments to her son's diatribes. Jane Seeman responded to her son's view on Vienna elections.

"Thanks Tom for a pretty accurate picture of elections in Vienna."

Why is the Mayor of Vienna at her son's fringe web site adding value and participating? Unfortunately, Tom Seeman's web site has more than just views on Vienna elections. Tom Seeman also authored this bit of wisdom on "black racism":

"Yes, there is racism in America. But most of it is not white racism. It is black racism. It pains me greatly to type this, but there it is. Certainly most of the hate speech that I see on matter of race comes from the left in general, and liberal black leaders in particular. Former NAACP head Kwazi Mfume comes to mind in this regard. The simple fact is that significant (hint; key word there) white racism is a thing of the past. If you don't believe me, look at how the left defines racism today; they claim it is "institutional" or "unconscious". In other words, we can't find any individual cases, in fact we can't prove anything at all, but we're going to claim it anyway. It gets worse. It is bad enough that Al Sharpton is feted by mainstream Democrats, who have forgotten all about Freddies Fashion Mart, let along the Tawana Brawley affair. With the last election cycle we have seen that the Democrat party is so in bed with extremist groups like Moveon.org and America Coming Together, and individuals such as Michael Moore and George Soros, that they are utterly unable to sound reasonable on most issues at all (More on this when I review Byron York's latest book). Trillions of dollars, program after program, quota after quota (excuse me, "diversity"). Compassion? You bet. But it's going to be on the individual level, which for me means targeted donations and church mission/work trips. But these "leaders" have got to go. P.S. I hated writing this post. This entire affair pains me greatly, and so wish things weren't as they were. But some things have to be said."

Tom made sure to outline the "Hispanic problem" too:

"Is it just me, or is there an epidemic of jaywalking in our country? Or is it the result of a general breakdown of an attitude towards law-and-order?"

Tom also works the protest circuit battling "pinkos" (could not make this up!):

"In August of 2005 I heard on the radio that a leftist group called Code Pink was doing an anti-war protest at Walter Reed Army Medical Center every Friday night, and that some conservatives were also staging a counter-protest. "Hmmm", I thought, "I live pretty close by. I'm going to go over there and see what's up." One thing led to another, and now I go to Walter Reed almost every Friday night. We've chased the Pinkos away from the entrance, but since they still congregate a block away we're going to keep up our activities until they're gone for good. I also went to the big anti-war protest last Sept 24 in Washington DC to counter-protest, and last Saturday to the Danish Embassy to act as a symbolic "human shield" against the radical Muslim group The New Black Panthers."

Lastly, Tom offered feedback on the Presbyterian Church (Vienna's?):

"Just to lay my cards on the table, I am a Christian, I go to church every Sunday and participate occasionally in mission programs. Currently I attend a non-denominational somewhat evangelical church. I used to go to a Presbyterian church, but changed when I moved to a different town. Over the years my reading had led me to conclude that the national leadership of the Presbyterian Church USA was hopelessly left-wing and so it seemed as good a time as any to sever that relationship."

So is this dinner talk at the Seeman house? Maybe it is time to distance yourself here Mayor? Maybe you should stop adding comments to Tom's off the handle rants? Whew...thank heaven there are no issues in Vienna that would ever cause an incumbent to lose!

Mike Colbert Gets Nasty, Lashes Out Comments (4)

Some Vienna Pit-bulls Could Use a Muzzle

The Vienna power brokers love to bark that this web site, which is mostly a mirror of the factual words and actions of Vienna leaders, is "nasty". Well, as they say, no one ever kicks a dead dog!

We know that some Vienna politicians revealed for what they are will continue to lash out. On the subject of nasty and lashing out, Mike Colbert (Jane Seeman's son-in-law) offered this heartfelt piece of advice to one of the challengers right before the 2006 Vienna Election:

"First off, I congratulate you on running for Town Council. It is a big commitment of time and can bring much criticism your way. I hope you are up for it. Now, with regards to your comments about the Town Green. Whether you agree with it or not, Vienna is not authorized by the state to place referendums on the ballot. Before you go mouthing off, you should get your facts straight. If you do happen to get elected I hope you will do a little more homework before embarassing [sic] the town by suggesting something that is illegal. Thanks and good luck. Mike Colbert"

Is Mike Colbert Mayor Seeman's political pit-bull?

This was not a confident email was it? What was he worried about? We find the comments of Mike Colbert an instructive tool in understanding the "minds" controlling the power reigns in Vienna. Sure the 2006 election might have gone the incumbent way, but tectonic plates are clearly shifting in ways they can't control.

Megalomania Has Infected Vienna Comments (2)

"Mrs. Jane, We Are with You!"

From the Sun Gazette comes the mother of all quotes from Jane Seeman:

"Mayor M. Jane Seeman said the applicants had bought the property three years ago knowing full well it was in the historic district. "When someone buys something with their eyes wide open as to the restrictions, then I'm not in favor of letting the boundary change."

Simple question: Mrs. Seeman what are the restrictions exactly? Will Seeman say something so patently stupid with her right hand raised under deposition? In Seeman's distorted world-view private citizens are apparently prevented from buying private property if a Town Council creates a historic district with no specific rules. If Seeman knows there are no written restrictions, then what are we to make of her? If she is willing to say such a statement in public should we not expect it to be true? It's not true. And via the magic of video we can show you Jane Seeman contradicting Jane Seeman:

Taking all of the above into account, consider this piece of wisdom about the District from here:

"It [historic district] was pushed as far and as hard as it could through the Town channels, things were not resolved so along came the lawsuit, now you have to bite the bullet and wait for that outcome. If I was being sued [lie the Town] I certainly would not discuss it, I can't fault the Council for that. Again your Historic District Lawsuits page, detailing the issues is not easily found."

The idea that citizens should sit back and allow a Town Council to abdicate their legislative responsibilities, by letting the courts do their job for them, is perverse. Who thinks like this? For those of you who want to use the historic district as a wedge to keep power, this post in total doesn't matter. For those seeking to understand why a lawsuit has been filed, this page and links may help.

Jane Seeman Abuses Property Rights Comments (4)

Last night the Vienna Town Council voted against the removal of a property from the Historic District. In ruling against the property many Council members said nothing. However, some Council members used the vote as a platform to reveal an anti-property rights agenda. Jane Seeman in particular, apparently now high on Election results, labeled the owners of the property as 'speculators' who knew what the rules were before buying the property. Seeman stated that since the rules were known in advance, the owners had no right to complain about the Historic District or seek removal. Only in the mind of a very weak person could this logic pass. One question for Mrs. Seeman: What are the rules for the Windover Heights Historic District? Exactly, you have no answer... It is high time that Jane Seeman took the Maud Robinson earpiece out and stood for something...anything.
