Why Would You Hire Arthur 'Chad' Bishop? Comments (4)

We are almost to the one-year anniversary of then Chairman Steve Bukont's melt down on the Windover Heights Board of Review. Unable to answer the most basic of questions (i.e. is this house historic?), Bukont ran out of the Council chambers at Town Hall screaming four letter Freddie’s at Town residents. It was a disgrace. Unable to replace Bukont for over 10 months, Chad Bishop finally elected to sit on this Board and replace Bukont.

We have a question for Vienna society in general: Why Would You Hire Arthur 'Chad' Bishop?

1. Bishop forces his neighbors to appear before his 'no rules' review board.
2. Bishop admits the Historic District is toast.
3. Bishop teaches children at a church, but sells his soul for political power.

Is this kind of man you really want to trust for either a job or frankly anything in life? If Chad Bishop is so infatuated with political power that he is willing to serve as a political prostitute on the Windover Heights Board of Review, what can you expect from Bishop when it comes to other areas in life? Apparently, Bishop wants to pretend he is a man of honor in one walk of life, but in his spare time he has no problem jamming a knife into his neighbors' property rights.

We expect Bishop will trot out the ignorance excuse for his participation on this Board, but that won't work. There are 15,000 people in this Town and 14,995 were ethical enough to not take this job from Maud. Chad Bishop did and he is Weenie of the Week.

Charles Brewer's Plan to Effectively Marginalize Women Voters; His Response Comments (3)

Over the weekend we posted comment about Chuck Brewer's plan to give each household in the Malcolm Windover Heights Civic Association a single vote. Chuck, who is an avid reader of this site, responded to our criticism by sending out an email (with a "screen shot" of our post) to every member of the Civic Association. He also said this:

Yesterday, we sent a notice about: 1. Proposed amendments to the Association By-Laws 2. A membership meeting, Nov. 16, 2006, 7:30PM, Vienna Community Center to discuss & vote on these amendments. As you can see from the screenshot below, at least one person has read the proposed amendments. The MWHCA_ByLawsNov06Explained.pdf contains explanations of why the Executive Board is proposing the various amendments. I hope you will take the time to read them, and then plan on attending the Nov. 16 meeting. Whether you agree with any or all, please consider sharing your opinion with us at the meeting. These amendments will be voted upon at the meeting, and any amendment lacking a majority vote will obviously not go into place. --Charles Brewer

Isn't amazing how fast our web criticism can make a weenie like Brewer crawl back into his hole? He is already backtracking. Feedback about Brewer:

Chuck, if you need me to pay my dues for BOTH my husband and I, fine. If I'm a registered voter in this freakin' country, I get my own vote in the civic association. GEESH! Man, now I'm fired up to vote tomorrow!

Did we forget to mention Chuck also sits on the Vienna Board of Zoning Appeals? Yes, he really is one of Maud's weenies.

New Artwork for Weenie Award Comments (1)

While we have not had a chance to post all of the new artwork yet, here is a graphic of the new Weenie Award we will give out once a month:

Thanks to the dedicated volunteers out there who want to make sure all weenies in Vienna are properly commended. Last month Bob Dart took home the prize and unless something changes it appears Laine Hyde is set to win by a landslide for September!

Weenie of the Month: Bob Dart Comments (2)

On the heels of Green Hedges School losing in front of the Planning Commission last week, comes Bob Dart's feedback about our post regarding his wife's politics:

"As a journalist, I have never been involved in politics, local or otherwise, but I do have a commitment to the truth. What has been written here about my wife, Sherry Dart, not the truth. The truth is that she has taught the first grade at Green Hedges for more than 20 years and has always been devoted to the school and dedicated to its students. Before we moved to Vienna, she taught at public schools in Florida and Georgia for another decade. I guess it depends on your perspective but I don't think many people enter the teaching profession because it is a "cash cow."

His wife is intimately involved in trying to ram a school expansion into a residential neighborhood to pad her pocket. His wife also is an ardent supporter of the Town of Vienna's crooked historical politics. On top of that, Bob voluntarily put his house into the Town's flimsy historical marker program. That action was as political as it gets in Vienna. Is that the kind of truth you search for Bob?

And now, Bob is jumping up and down declaring he has no political involvement in anything. Your carefully crafted "unbiased journalist" label just went poof didn't it Bob? For his sanctimonious malarkey, Bob is awarded the first "Weenie of the Month". We wish Bob well as he continues his search for that elusive truth...excuse us while we puke.
